Le Sueur Swap Meet

Went to the Le Sueur Swap Meet yesterday. It was really muddy, but by the afternoon it had dried out somewhat. I think the number of tractors for sale was down and some of the parts that you seen lots of in the past you did not see. It seemed there was a lot of old riding mowers, but because I was looking for Case 220 stuff I did not find any of it. I did find some good front tires for my John Deere 1010, a couple of front rims for my Farmall B and a few manuals. Also I bought an old Timex display cabinet that I can display some of my toys in. Over all my wife and I thought it was a real successful day.

We"re leaving here about 9: to go.
Have friends that sell there so have been looking forward to it for a couple of weeks.
It always seems like spring has finally arrived when the big swap meet gets here.
I"ll be earing this fru fru maroon welders cap and the wife will have her Ford Tractor ball cap on. If you see us say hello.

Haven't seen him yet, but I got here late, many are packing up and don't blame them.

Wow, this is a lot bigger than it was 17 years ago when I was here last.

Between farming and wedding anniversary, I always am too busy this weekend to get here! And the fall power show I always used to be busy with a racing event too. The place is so close, and yet so far away......

I got there at 5:15 a.m. for an on-the-road parking spot to stay out of the mud. I've gone to that swap meet for at least 20 years and have never seen the mud so bad on the paths, although the grass wasn't so bad. I did manage to fill my pickup -- got a good seat for my John Deere garden tractor and a heckuva deal ($10) on a 72-hole parts bin that retails for $340 shipped on Amazon, plus the usual assortment of cheap old hand tools. I left around noon to go to citywide yard sales in a nearby town.

We were there on Friday. It was wet, but by afternoon it was getting much dryer. It was tough getting in, but getting out was a breeze. Had the 5 buckle boots on so I was fine in the near ankle deep muck.

I picked up a pair of rear F&H rounds for my son's F-20. Got what I figured was a smoking deal. Got several other good deals. I passed up on a $1000 generator setup for the F-20 though....
