free is never free

Got a flyer in the mail yesterday from the local Echo dealer for a free pair of gloves. I"ve bought a couple chainsaws from them over the years so I figured I"d go pay them a visit and collect my free gloves. Well I was in there having a coffee and shooting the poo with them and somehow ended up leaving there owning a used, new to me, zero turn cub cadet mower. I needed a better mower but was looking for a 3 point hitch one for the tractor but I think this will work better for me.

Sounds like they are good sales people to sell you sumthing you didn"t intend on buying.
I have a Cub Cadet Zero turn mower that I bought 4 years ago and have had good service oot of it.

just got off of my cub cadet ztr mower. starting 5th year with it and no problems. do not need gloves with mine though.

Ah yep, years back stopped to see if i could get me one of them thar new limited edition belt buckles of a East MFG. Dump trailer . Well i was told that if ya wanted the buckle ya had to buy it and ya got the dumpy trailer for free . Dadgum buckle cost me 22500 but i got one .

I had a new Cub Cadet RTZ 50 inch mower for three years, think it came with a 2 yr. warrt. At the end of the thrid year the trans. made more noise than the mower itself. The motor was fine if I rember right it was a 18 hp Kaw. motor. The mower and motor were fine but the trans. they put in them was throwaway junk.

I now hava a 60 inch John Deere zero turn mower and am happy with it so far.

Free can turn out to very expensive sometimes. Even low cost things can turn out to be very expensive; for example, your marriage license. Probably didn't cost much initially, but later - WOW!

Depends on how you look at it and who's writing the checks 8)

Thats not what I wanted to hear, that's what I bought. I drove it around for a few minutes and everything seemed fine. This is a 2009 model that an old farmer traded in. He bought it knew in 2010, then sold the farm this past winter and moved to town. He traded this one for the 30" model. Its got roughly 250 hours on it.
