IF you are a Dodge 24 valve owner and your OLD lift pump takes a DUMP and you really don't want to spend the big bucks on Dodges upgraded NEW and IMPROVED in the tank pump and when DoDge says that is the only thing you can do or ya don't want and aftermarket pump. Well just because DODGE - MoPar says you can not get and OEM pump anymore , well that just is not really true . The old pump is still out there with 7 updates and can be had thru Cummins or FORD- Sterling or Volvo Freightliner .Your cost will vary as to where ya buy them . Also if ya have and older 12 valve and need a lift pump the cheapest place to buy it is from Case I H /newholland and here all ya got to do is change one fitting from old to new .

Also available from Carquest. I would have rather got one from Cummins but nearest dealer for me is 110 mi. It's my bale truck so I couldn't wait. Hope it holds up, store owner claims that it is an improved version. Looks way different.

I'm still baffled as to how there was never a recall on those. (I'm assuming you're talking about the 98-02 models). Fass makes a direct dodge replacement they call it that bolts right up. Put one on my truck 4 years ago along with the new injection pump and fuel pressure dummy light. No issues. Thoughoughbred (sp?) Diesel on the net is a good place for diesel parts. Bought both pumps and the dummy light through them for $500 cheaper than just the injection pump was gonna cost through cummins. I believe it was $1100 compared to $1600 if I remember right.
