Is there any issue using a galvanized brake line for a diesel fuel line? My application is a JD 4020 between the filters and injection pump. Is there any issue with the galvanized (Zinc?) part. Paul

I used steel brake line to make the fuel lines for my 720D back in 1985. Last time I had it out all was still fine. Been a few years since I had it out but I don't see any issues with the steel brake line.
I have also used it for gas lines and no problems either.

galvanized metal and diesel fuel are not supposed to come in contact with each other , I saw someone put diesel fuel in a galvanized gas can once , and it immediately had a chemical reaction and visible vapors came out. That being said, I don't think most steel brake line you buy at auto parts places is galvanized , as long as it isn't you should be ok. They sell some treated with a brownish corrosion resistant coating around here, (NE IN) but I don't know what it is made of.

no such thing, it is steel line for brakes.
also 3/16" brake line is too small to supply the pump. you need at least 3/8" line or approved rubber hose.
