Can anyone explain why the aftermarket shop manual for an Oliver 1750 is half the price of the one that says it 470 pages? If that is the only difference that makes it a no brainer. Please explain.

Most aftermarket service manuals are condensed. They don't have all the info to do repairs.

What is "the one that says it is 470 pages"? I suspect it is the one that covers all the 3 digit Olivers, and is about 1 1/2 inches thick. And the reason the 1750 manual is half the price is that it has less than half the pages. You've heard the term "time is money"? Well, in the manual business, "pages is money".

I learned many years ago if you want manuals byte your lip and get the manufactors manual or a real copy of it.
