been looking for an older plow, got a call from a guy ,says he has a hydraulic 3 bottom plow list with 16" shovels on it,does he mean moldboard plow? he didnt seem to know what moldboard meant or am I missing something, thanks for any help

I"m betting so since he says they are 16".

In my neck of the woods the old guys call them "flat bottom plows" I"m guessing because of the flat bottom of the furrow as opposed to the concave furrow left by a disk plow. Some around here also refer to them as "breaking plows" since they "break" ground.

These terms are from Alabama/Tennessee. What neck of the woods does this "shovel" plow reside?
