best thing to keep vegetation off gravelled areas?

Hi, I'm wondering if there's something better than glyphosate to keep the vegetation off the gravelled areas of my yard. What do you guys use? I generally use a combination of glyphosate and 2-4-D.

I'd love to use something more effective, and longer lasting.

Thanks,

Troy

I dump the CaCl out of tractor tires on gravel areas to prevent grass and weeds. It will work for two or three years.

Wish I had some more.

salt.
i spray a salt water with viniger and dawn soap on all kinds of stuff works instantly. and i spray a really high concentration of salt water on the drive way. normally i dont have to spray more than 1 a year some times 2 times depends on how much rain.

I use the calcium out of tires too. works pretty good.
also works very well to kill-rot a tree stump.
Rock salt would probably work well on gravel.

With that said though, if your area is like mine, plenty of rain,
continuous wind to blow seed and dust/dirt around......
Nothing will really work, stopping wild grasses-weeds....impossible
