Darnit!

Knocked out 50 acres on Wednesday and things were working sooo darned good.

Yesterday tho, I couldn't find a dry field to save my soul. :>(

You would not have that problem here Allan.

Dryer than most any spring I have seen. Cold still but dry.

Hope we get some moisture out of this rain event they have planned for the weekend here. It could be a dry season for us.

The county put on a burn band. Never had one of those in April before.

We still have 2-3 feet of snow in the fields. My wagon decks are just starting to peek out. Pic is hood at rear of the 3309 disc mower a couple of days ago.

Gary,

It is dry just east of you also. I am expecting we will put the corn in deep again this year. I do not know how far down to get moisture.

Nice view. I don"t think autosteer could get you any straighter than that.

Glad things are working good. Its better to have a false start than a caution flag because something wrecked, so there is always that to be thankful for.

Hey, since you are an IH guru, I have something I always wondered about. What is the purpose behind the forward air flow on those 88s. I never remember to ask that question of an IH guy. BW

We're plenty dry here in Northwest Iowa too. Anhydrous is going in now. We'd be planting corn if the ground wasn't so cold. Some of the guys out fixing tile are running into frost. Forecast is for rain and possible T storms tomorrow and Sunday. I'm not holding my breath. Jim

I firmly believe that.

All I hear in the cab is that spooling turbo and a nice low volume 'whine' coming from 'er innards.

Gary,

I think my wife saw on some IA website that the whole state was under a burn ban. Hope you get some rain soon. Do you think Allan would share?

Adequate rainfall in SC now. Planted garden corn the first week in April, not up yet.

Around here all one would accomplish is planting tractors way, way too wet and the frost is still down there. Going to finally haul my round baler home tomorrow, as I think the ice is off the road to be safe to get the NH 855 home. Hoping all goes well. Wish we could work ground here though.

The whole family will be headed to Iowa next month for my wifes burial. She always wanted to go back to Iowa,Weather was so bad a the time of her death the fanily choose cremation and burial in Iowa on a Spring day. May 30 at 1:00 more information will follow

It helps with the debris a lot but in the fall if the tires are sticky and pick up leaves with the wind blowing it around, it will collect some . I have a 5088 and all I do is when I get to the end of the field I push in the clutch and idle it waaaay down with a cross wind and it's blows off.
