verzion wireless prepaid out of minutes.

Please only comment about verizon. A friend and I only have verzion wireless prepaid at country house. We have 400 minutes on remaining on both phones. Friend is going to lose job at end of May. Decided to call AHC, to see what it would cost for health insurance.

Her phone goes dead, says out of minutes. I let her use my phone, same story. Reprogrammed phone #228, thinking something is wrong at verizon. I called her phone and both phones work just fine. Before each call is placed verizon tells me I have 6 hours and 45 minutes left. Call goes through. Same story with friends phone.

Called AHC again and we are out of minutes. Guess we will have to use a landline.

Has any one had similar problem?

Again, PLEASE NO COMMENTS ABOUT AHC, JUST ABOUT VERIZON PREPAID TELLING YOU ARE OUT OF MINUTES. WHEN YOU ARE NOT, WHILE CALLING AHC.

I have that pay plan , but never had your experience. Could be some problem with your local phone system and repeaters ?
 
Keep in mind, only out of minutes when we call one number using two different cell phones. 400 minute balance when we call other numbers. Go figure.
 
I have that pay plan and the same thing happens to me about once or twice month. About a year ago I called about it the girl had no answer that made sense. Gave her a low limit credit card to auto replenish my account. It seems to work pretty good and my annual cost is not much hirer.
Now that I read George's post I am going to call them again and maybe get a better explanation.

How have you got your minutes set up in your calling plan? If you have xxx minutes on "local" but only xx minutes on "roaming" and you try calling a number that is NOT local you could very easily show "out of minutes" depending on where the party that you're calling is located.

On the 25th of the month prepaid is prepaid via a credit card automatically. Both prepaid phones still have a balance of 400 minutes. We have a 500 minute plan, call anywhere in US, free text and free pics.

It's a verizon problem with calling one particular number. Found a different AHC number. Phone works like it should.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one with being out of minutes with over 400 minute balance.

When this happened before, they told me to reprogram with *228.

Well, last night I reprogrammed and still out of minutes. Go figure.
