Large tire tube over small tube..

HOLY COW.. perfectly good tube.. after I get done with it it was patched 5 times..pinched it with the spoon putting tire back on rim.. 3 times off and on.. CRUD!! Give me a large tire any day to a small front lawn tractor tire..

THe trick is not to use the irons to put it back on but a Ken-Tools hammer ,soap and walk it on with sneakers keeping the opposite bead at the rim center. If you don't have a Ken-Tools hammer a large dead blow will do it. This way you can't pinch a tube. I just changed out a tube that is still holding air . I guess I reseated the vavle .OOPs.

Those little tires can be a pain to back on the rim. I start the bead and then take a pair of vice grips and attach to the rim to keep the bead from following around as you work the bead on the rim.

My favorite weapon on the little dudes is the HF small tire changer. I mounted it to a workbench, about belly button high, gives you some leverage, to work on the little brutes!

I think that lawn tractor would look a mite funny with large tractor tires on it. LOL!
