Computers again...........

Got my Active X problem solved on my new computer. One of our company's techies used a function, I forget what it's called, where he actually took over my computer all the way from Cleveland, Ohio and reworked it with everything needed to function on the company software.

Don't know if I mentioned it before, but this is a refurbished desktop unit running Windows 7 Pro, 10 gig hard drive and 1 tig ram. I love it. It doesn't have all of the junk programs that nobody wants pre-installed, just the basics for a workhorse computer. Cost almost as much as a new unit, but it's worth it.

Therein is my next problem. I'm hooked on solitaire, and this 'puter has no games installed. Does anyone know how I can get solitaire for cheap without having to buy extra software?

All of the "Windows Games" are on your computer.

You just need to get access to them. To do that:

1. Open up your [b:072c6b97d8]Control Panel[/b:072c6b97d8]

2. In the Control Panel, open up [b:072c6b97d8]Programs and Features[/b:072c6b97d8]

3. In Programs and Features, on the left side, click on [b:072c6b97d8]Turn Windows Features on or off[/b:072c6b97d8]

4. Find the [b:072c6b97d8]Games[/b:072c6b97d8] and put a check in the box.

5. Click OK, and you should be good to go.

I tried it and it worked!

But when I tried to play, both solitaire and minesweeper started, then stopped with a pop-up that said an "executable" had stopped working.

I never saw that before. It said Microsoft would look for a solution and notify.

Dang.
