New Holland 676 manure spreader

Whats the good and bad? I think I read somewhere that parts are getting harder to find. Is that true? Thanks for the help.

I have the single axle version of that spreader and find many of the wearable parts are generic such as bearings, belts, chains, etc. and are easy to get. Most everything else can be fabricated, plus lots of them make used parts available as well. Very simple and dependable, and easy to work on. They do rot out easily and I've had to patch the frame on mine. I've had no issues with the rear gearbox, if/when that goes it might be a different story. It ain't pretty but it gets the job done.

I am pretty sure we had one years ago. It was a good machine. If it has the gearbox with the worm and gear, check if there is oil is in it. The one we had the oil run out of the seal in the gearbox. Got by replacing the seal and worm gear. It was quiet expensive 30 years ago.
