Alright Guys!, As the Title of this post says.....
""the Mesquites are popping leaves here at my Home."" Re-tighten your Spurs, Take up an extra hands width on the Rein! Y'all Suck-yourself into the Swells, Take a Deep Seat, for one more eight count!
Winter is on its last gasp of breath! Spring is racing toward Y'all at a rapid rate of speed!! Winter is all but over.
So Allan and the rest of Y'all Just know it is racing toward you like a run-away Freight Train going Down hill. Smile, the warm sunshine of Spring is just a few days away!
Later,
John A.

Bluebonnets & Indian Paints have covered the landscape with wide swaths of red & blue and the air is heavy with their perfume, the sweet scent of Spring.
We haven't had much rain but what we had was perfectly timed for the Wildflowers to come out better than they have in years. Pass the word John, Spring has sprung.

In my part of Jones/Taylor Co it looks like mesquites are dead and no wildflowers. There is not any wheat that will make anything. Had no measureable moisture in March and Jan/Feb no better.

In Indiana, April showers bring May flowers. We are going to have a bumper crop of flowers, Rained all night. Some spring flowers are coming up. It's like someone threw the switch from winter to spring.

Grandpa always said you can plant what you want without fear of having to protect it from the cold once the pecan tree buds.
The pecan tree in my yard is full of small leaves. Its 7am and 70 deg right now.

So get ready cause spring is about finished and the heat and humidity of summer is right around the corner.

Sorry to say it guys but wish October would hurry up and get here.

Here in central MN, the weather guessers are forecasting a foot of snow today and overnight. Winter just won't give up around here!

Yep, the fig tree and pecan trees are popping leaves like crazy too. Seemed like the elm and anaqua trees greened up overnight. The loquat is also looking good and heavily laden . I'll have me some delicious loquats in about a month, Can't wait. I'll have to dig out my yard sign that says "FREE LOQUATS FOR THE PICKING". No way I'll be able to eat them all by myself. lol Hate to see them go to waste.

Best regards
Patrick

I've heard if you have free range chickens or Guinea Hens at your place, they will eat the ticks.
