John Deere 2010 indutrial tractor

I bought a 1964 JD 2010I last year and this year have been trying to find somewhere to get parts and maybe a manual for the tractor but so far not to much luck. I guess the industrial version was too rare or something cause nobody has anything other than some stuff for the green tractors. I think it might need brakes because the left brake works alright but the right won"t slow the tractor at all. I'd like to do the work myself but without a manual or someone who knows something about these tractors, I'm not real sure where to start. So basically if you have any knowledge about the tractor or somewhere to find parts, please let me know. Thanks a lot!

Have you checked with DEERE for parts? You can get a SM right from DEERE by calling them @ 1-800-522-7448.

I agree,Talk to yuor Deere dealer.I would immagine most if not all 'internals' are the same as an ag tractor.Wheels,axles,hitches would be about the only/major differences.

Most all of the parts are Ag tractor parts, the loader and backhoe parts were still available from the JD construction equipment dealers. The brake parts should be available on the Ag side and can be looked up on the free JD online parts catalog for the complete break down. The brakes are poor at best when in new condition. Their may be some adjustment left, maybe not .. best to have the part numbers when you go to the parts dept. If the parts people tell you that a part is know longer available you can check with a place called the Parts Depot ( on-line )to see if they have it by signing in as a guest, but you must go through a deer dealer to buy from them. Other than that it's junk yard hunting time or eBay. Hope this helps.

In all honesty. You may want to consider getting rid of it before spending time and $$$ on Mother Deere"s most famous illegitimate child. In particular if it"s diesel.

i have one of those old 2010 id and that tractor start runs good it does have one problem the power steering housing has a crack in it but i have a 2010 utility that has same unit in it so it going to get replaced and you can get most all parts through the age dealer and the parts brake down on line well help you with the brakes. the service manual your looking for is jd 2000 series tractors SM-2036 brake wont be any problem to fix well they weren't all that great when new

I have a 2010 utility gas. It actually runs best of all my gas tractors. Started right up all winter long, others did not.
