Considering a kubota M7040HD, no cab, 4 wheel drive, 70 horse with loader that attaches to skidsteer accessories. Just a light chore tractor/push brush, etc. Anybody with any experience with these or other brands of similar size tractors (JD, Ford, New Holland) I would like your input. Just wanting somethng more mobile then a skidsteer. Thanks for all your information.

I have one but has a cab. Here in Vermont with the winter we are having love to cab. Now for the tractor. I have not found one thing I dislike yet. Would buy it again. I have a JD mx8 bush hog, 3 bt. plow and a 84" JD 681 rotary tiller and snow plow just named a few. Does it all.

I have a '11 M7040 HDC that I bought last yr to move rd bales and cut hay with that I like. It had 137 hrs on it when I bought it and it now has 587 hrs with no problems so far.

Mine has 295 hours. It had one small problem with a $30 fuel return valve. It has the "low profile" tires (24-inch rears). Most of the hours are at 2,300 engine rpm/740 PTO powering a 10-foot, 2,000-pound BushHog mower.

No complaints. I actually bought a dealer instead of a brand. The CaseIH/Kubota dealer is long established, and I've been friends with the salesman for over 40 years. Dealers in other brands were farther away.

GordoSD, click the link to the Kubota website and price it using the site"s "build my Kubota" feature. I got 12% off total MSRP of tractor, mower and blade.

I agree the Kubota is top quality. If you aren't in a hurry, watch for a low houred tractor from an individual seller. There are lots of these tractors purchased by the weekender that see very little use and get sold as near new at a discount.
We just picked up a 2008 M6040 which is the non-turboed version of the M7040 with only 49 hours on it. As new condition at only 60 percent of the cost.
Also, the new ones are loaded with Tier IV emissions krap which I will avoid .
