missed a oportunity friday

i was going to broad cast some orchardgrass into some already existing og in a small field friday but it was a little windy so i didnt do it.rained all day yesterday then snow last night.been wanting to do it but the field has been alittle to wet.maybe i will get a chance later this week.

If you can get on the field without cutting in broadcast it on top of the snow. That way when the snow melts it will be there ready to sprout when the weather warms up.

yea i thought of that but just got back from walking it and its awfully wet and soft so i guess i will wait for the next opportunity.

How about walking it on with a hand crank seeder. That is how we always did it.

Like one of the others posted, walk it on if it is not too large of a small field. LOL

I do some of my pastures slopes every year this way. Usually 10-15 acres, in many smaller patches. Just did this years last Thursday. I would like some snow or rain on it.
