disked up about 20ac wheat ground yesterday, farmall M pullin a 14' jd wr disc 3'' deep 4th gear no problems gettin ready to plant beans may 1.rained today that will slow progress down a bit.

must have had that dirt just a flying pulling 14 ft disc 3 in deep in forth gear.?? why not sink the disc and pull in 2nd, as I don't think it would pull 14 ft in 3rd. must have waves all through the field as speed and discing don't work.

RUSTRED that was all the deeper the disc would cut wheat and weed ground. 4th gear disc pullked nice and straight no ''waves''...so whats wrong with you ,cant pull a disc that fast???

ooh its wheat stubble! in other words discing last years wheat trash, no wonder u can pull in 4th gear. also when you get going fast on stubble the disc likes to jump around instead of cutting in. I wish people would use the correct terms, as I was under impression you were discing a seed bed not wheat stubble. AND,4th gear is generally not a field working gear. pull it as fast as you want but its the job behind the disc that counts!
