Brian The picture I posted was of a trebuchet this fella calls himself Tired Iron built on a trailer. the large weights in the center structure and the wrecking ball are attached to the long arm you can see on the left that almost touches the ground. There is a cable attached to the end with a sling for the punkin. when the weights drop the arm swings up with the punkin in the sling.

Is there any video available?
I am going to try to look for a punkin chunkin event this fall!
I would not want to be near where it lands!
I thought anvil shooting looked good, this is so-o-o much better!
Thanks for replying.

We made a egg catapults that shot eggs in high school, made seven of them, the shortest one shot 100ft and we could hit target every time, farthest one shot them 700ft but couldn't hit target every time, probebly about every 1 in 5 times we could hit it, sometimes they explode before they launched.

I have watched it on TV for several years. One of these days, I want to go see it in person. There is even a farm market family close to here that built a punkin cannon a few years ago.
