On my back again

I hit a big bump while out on bobcat yesterday and think I may have blown out another disk in my back.

I am laying down and icing it before I go to doctor.

I fortunately haven't done it in probably over ten years, but it was usually three days on the heating pad for me, then back at it. Hope you do too.

Commiseration for sure. Mine started with a missed bale throw above my head, I had turned back at an angle and the 70#er landed on my shoulder. I take care to lift properly and let 20 year olds lift 200# items. I do feel the pain. Speedy recovery. Jim

I sit here every morning reading these posts with a heating pad on my back. Wife got me and inversion table, that helps. The chiropractor really helps but I'd need to go 3-4 days a week for a few weeks. Did that at one point some years back. Made a huge difference.

Between growing up on a farm, hobby farming and being a plumber in the era of cast iron pipe and bath tubs. I have no disc left in 2-3 of my vertebrae in my lower back. On top of all that Arthur showed up a few years ago.

Aleve, an inversion table and daily stretching keep me functional.

I'm a big fan of my Chiropractor. MD's never did me much good, for my lower back anyway. Seems the muscle relaxants and pain pills didn't help. Then they start talking surgery.

Try a glucosamine/condroitin joint product that has msm. Or msm by itself if you can find it. MSM is an anti-inflammatory. Doesn't work for everybody, but might help.

I dislike my skid loader for the same reason as after running it for awhile my back always hurts. But they are just to handy not to use.It seems that all the frozen ground and ruts from feeding really beat me up this winter. It took several years before I would use the skidloader before the loader tractor but if today I could only have one it would be the skidloader.Hope you get better soon as spring work is just around the corner(I hope so anyway). Tom

I went 3 times a week for a month, twice a week for another 2 months, once a week for another month. Took care of my carpal tunnel symptoms. Also put me in a lot better mood and got rid of my severe headaches, I had to sleep on my back with pillows beside my head to keep my neck straight, or I'd wake up with a terrible headache.
Could tell the difference in my mood by the end of the first week. Haven't been to one in a while, got an app't scheduled for Monday morning. This one is good, she'll do just about anything but jump on you to get things moving, she got stuff up between my shoulder blades to move that hasn't moved in years.

Try Nancy's suggestion. That stuff seems to be working for my knee. The knee is a long ways from the back, but it might help your disks too. It does nothing for my back but I don't have disk problems. Jim
