another engine question

The white smoke is still coming out would it half to do with
leaving the choke partially out? If i don't leave it out the
tractor dies so i run it with it partially out. And the white
smoke comes out the muffler and the oil breather

On what engine? White smoke is usually coolant from a cracked head/cylinder walls/bad head gasket. If you have to run the choke partially closed your card is plug somewhere. Clean it out !!!

White smoke = water

Blue smoke = Oil

Black smoke = to much gas/fuel OR not enough air.

Red, yellow, purple or green smoke = pyrotechnics

If you've got white smoke (water) and have to leave the choke out for it to run I'm guessing you're sucking in water some where you should be sucking in gasoline/air. As others have suggested cracked head or block or if you're lucky a blown head gasket.

Time to consider low monthly payments on a new CUT. Jump on and drive without having to be a master mechanic . Factory warrenty. Has live pto, live hydraulics, a real drawbar. A rops, working brakes, live rockshaft, probably 4WD.can handle a loader, backhoe and any modern attachment. No old tires to replace, old clutch to burnout and replace . No old high hour engine to rebuild.

The oil is fine there is a crack in the manifold it smokes a little out of there and the radiator. Could the cracked manifold be the problem?

o. I would quit running it though, you are gonna do more damage to it the longer you run it like that. there is something internally wrong with the engine.I have to ask did it have water in it and sit in below freezing temps.?

you are aware that this IS and ANTIQUE tractor sight aren't you?? He's obviously already made that choice. lol

It had radiator fluid and oil and hydraulic fluid in it all winter
we've been running it for 2 weeks and it just started 2 days
ago. It was my great grandfathers tractor them my grandmas
but about 10 years ago my grandfather pulled it out of the
barn got it running and painted it to give us rides on now 15
this summer I am going to use it

I will take some pictures tonorow and try to upload them I'm usually not successful but i will try and I thought there was to

It take little coolant to make the white smoke. If you have run it for minutes at a time the level will not go down dramatically. The test is to let it sit for a day then pull the plugs and crank it (ignition off) if coolant comes out, or there is coolant on the plug, that cylinder is leaking. The intake and exhaust ports are in the block. They can crack and leak coolant into the intake or exhaust. If the crack is where the manifold is going to one end of the engine, that end is likely to have the leak.
A cylinder leak down test (research) or compression test will also help decide your move.
Were it mine I would do both, and the above test.
If you run it you will ruin it. Jim

ot sure what you're referring to but you are aware MANY people have already came to the conclusion of a blown head gasket among other things? peat' an' repeat!

nd BTW if you would have read one of his earlier/other posts he said he was going to run it the way it was/is. Do a little research before trying to be condescending, you make yourself sound like an a$$, and I'm sure you're not?

A shattered Piston will do the same thing (only with a definite miss)..wrist-pin may have eaten up a cylinder wall..
Might have a hole in a piston..
