oil pressure/engine question

I got the 8n out today and let it warm u for a few minutes and took it down the driveway in 4 then It started knocking and white smoke started blowing out of the oil fill tube ten we towed it to the barn and started it quit knocking but the smoke still came out and Ideas?

Check the oil for water. White smoke is usually steam. Could be a head gasket, did it possibly freeze?

If it was the head gasket would it leak oil? Also the oil pressure was over the 50 line but its oils like that so i assume the gauge is broke
