I got all the parts back from the machine shop for the steering on the MH44. I bought a reamer so the tie rod ends and pitman could me made to fit the WD tie rods. If anyone runs into that, tie rods off a WD will fit a MH44 if you ream the holes out.

We will be at volleyball for my daughter today, should get it together in the morning. I should be done with that tomorrow.

The weather is getting me down, hard to stay enthused.

I do like it, but the budget is stressing me out.

I have well over a thousand in the front end. I bought it from a guy who said it was in good shape, I was younger and stupid. I should have walked away and found a different one.

I will post pictures of my "enhancements" to it.

Every unnecessary thing we do, especially those that involve putting new technology into old components, while discovering just what was worn out, is expensive.
I made a car for my wife from a California Austin Healey and the running gear from a 82 Toyota Corolla including all electronics and wiring to each bulb. Reconstructed the dash to be look alike to Healey but controlling the Toyota. only 12 years of play. Jim

About 10 years on the 44, at least I drove it last summer, and on the computer at that.

I will have to leave instructions in my will how to dispose of the 44, it is one of a kind. It has been mechanically restored, the carburetor and distributor have been replaced with the computer.

I hate the color it turned out. I am waiting for warm enough weather to paint it the correct color. I then have to find a dyno to get the fuel tables set right.

David: I will trade you your budget over run for the ones I have had on some of the tractors I have done. LOL

I have one 4020 that I totally rebuilt clear down to the casting and back out. I ended up with double what the tractor sold for new. The wife reminds me of that one every time I talk about doing another one.

Your just feeling the winter blahs that we have here in Iowa. A few warm days and you will feel better.

JD,

My wife has been real quite lately, that is what worries me.

I do have the winter blues, it will be cold enough this week I can haul the firewood out of the timber with the bobcat. It is all cut and stacked in there.

yes. 67 model no exterior changes, the 3TC engine is a reverse engineered Chrysler Hemi cut in two. Red with diamond tuck and rolled interior and a roll bar with seatbelts, Jim
