Sharpen your blades

All of the fields are fertilized and I spread some leftover
nitrogen on the yard. Good thing I got the mowers ready - we
are going to need to mow quick once it rains! Temps tomorrow
are supposed to be around 70. I'll bet you boys to the north
are itching to get in the fields. Saw the neighbor had the disk
hooked up and ready by the fuel barrels. I'm not quite that
close yet.

i'll be glad to see the back of winter... lots of snow here still in western Manitoba, we'll be lucky to see dirt in the next few weeks... snow forecast for this weekend again... and highs of 0F too... we'll get there one day, we always do.

I'm in no rush this year. I'm laying in a hospital bed after having surgery to fix my constant heartburn and a hiatal hernia that was the main cause of it. I'm restricted for Atleast 6 weeks but hopefully I can get off the omeprazol when I'm back to normal.

My big excitement today was that I finally peed. Much longer and they would have had to put in a catheter.

Down here we are waiting for the fields to dry. Every thing hooked up. Discs hooked to 4020's, subsoil hooked to 4320 and planter hooked to 3020. Will stop and get seed and fertilizer on the way.

I'm doing all right. Home today on the couch, have a 10 lb weight limit for 4 weeks, then I guess we go from there. Hope to be ok to lift in time for haying season.

Of course with the slow warm up this year it just might work. We chop most of first crop and dad might just have to green chop some more this year. I think the hard part will be putting duals on the tractors. Dad can still handle the 18.4 34's, but the 38's are a bit heavier.May call in a favor from helping a neighbor pull a loaded silage truck out of some grass. Took 3 tractors to pull it out and it was still a struggle.

Don't do like my uncle, he liked his time off so well he had to go back in and have it done a second time!!!
I don't know how many specialists his doctor had him to for food allergies, finally he got a little irate and found a new doctor, who sent him to an ear-nose-throat guy who knew what the problem was by the time he got done with the symptoms.
