OT Broken toe

I broke my little toe last night, it is surprising how much you depend on them. I have been hobbling around most of the day.

I think I broke one of my little toes last summer, it hurt and swelled up to about twice its size and stayed that big for about 2 months. I hope yours will heal as quickly as possible, I guess there isn't much they can do for you even if you do go to the doctor.

I broke my big toe years go, About the only thing they can do is tape it to the next toe. Not only is it painful but the tape makes it darned uncomfortable too.

Broke one of mine about 35 years ago, walked into a dresser in the dark one morning. SWMBO is a nurse, told her to take me to the ER. She said "No way!", straighten it up, put on your boots and go to work. I did, it took about three weeks to heal. Sure was painful for a few days. Decided I'd never ask her to take me to the ER again!

A friend of mine cut a tree down a couple months ago and somehow it rolled over on his toes.He had to call for help on his cell phone to get loose. It broke his toes and the doctors installed pins.He told me Saturday they were not healing right and they were going to take his toes off Wednesday.

Broke one of my big toes once, by dropping a floor jack on it.

Doctor said all he could give me was pain pills and sympathy. And since he was also a water skiing and deer hunting buddy of mine, I really didn't get much sympathy.

Broke my little toe two separate times, once in the Army and once later on. I am way more careful since, as I didn't care much for the pain.

I broke my big toe when in 6th grade playing football barefoot. When it grew back together it was at a right angle from what it is suppose to be. Toe nail is on the side, right side of toe is on the top and well you get the picture. Darnedest thing you ever saw. Spooks the grand kids when they see me barefoot.

They hurt, don't they. In 2000, I sent a spring loaded shaft into 3 toes breaking all 3 of them. It hurts! They had me on pain killers for 2 weeks. They didn't even put a cast on them.

about all you can do is wear some hard soled shoes so it doesnt move too much.Thats what the quack told me when I broke mine

My mom was a retired director of nursing, registered nurse, long-time pro nurse.... I had a bad injured arm once.... took it to her, she took along look, felt it, looked at all angles, and said "Well honey, you"ve injured it somehow."
Nope, not a lot of sympathy...
