New to gun/ammo laws in State of Massachusetts.can you buy
ammo online from another state and have it shipped to you in
mass? I have a ltc/fid card,Size would be 9mm

This is one of those situations where you can just plead insanity if things go sideways. "I ordered the ammo, if it was illegal for the seller to ship it to me, why did he send it? I'm just a consumer, he's the dealer. He needs to know the rules. Besides, doesn't the 2nd Amendment apply nationwide?"

I am a resident of NY- I have a home and 100 acres in Mass.-I hunt in Mass and have their license. I cannot by a gun or ammo in Ma.
I could not rent a nail gun at Home Depot in Ma.
But I can bring guns and ammo from NY into Mass.

Hmm. That may be true, but I think the authorities in Mass. would have a much easier time prosecuting a Massachusetts resident than an out-of-state retailer. I'd do my research before ordering.

so if you order it on the net and he sends it from out of state, where do you figure you are at risk? What watchdog do you think is actually watching? If they were whom do you think they would go after? You can order anything you want over the net and if they send it against the rules then they are breaking law not you. Unless! Are you saying that it is unlawful to even own ammunition in your state? If so what kind of God forsaken state do you live in? I live in MI and we don't have any such nonsense here.

I believe the 2nd is the right to own guns. Doesn't say a word about ammo.

I have gunpowder from the 80's I am still using, primers from the early 90's, bullets I cast from old wheel weights and reloading salvaged brass. That dont help me with .22's though.

An query at "cheaperthandirt.com" for 9mm, using Springfield, MA for the city, came back with "Sorry, we can't ship this to Springfield, MA." Why don't you try that for your city?

I found a site about laws on shipping ammo and Mass is one state you can not get ammo online shipped to your home.

WalMart has a sign on the gun counter that they will have .22 ammo at 8:00 a.m. if they get a delivery. Yesterday there was 8 guys standing in line at the counter at 7:00 a.m. They must of been hopeful of a delivery.

We can not sell any Ammo, Primers,Powder or Bullets to anyone from NY, Mass, Ct, NJ or Del now.
We are getting 22 Rim Fire here all the time. We got 100,000 rounds this week. It will be coming to you soon. We sell this just to Vermont residents. That is all I can serve at this time.

I'm in NY just had Cheaper Than Dirt Ship me large qtys of 7.62x39 and .223. I also regularly hop across the border and buy ammo from stores who have it and have had no issues. Black powder is another story though lol

I used to have a hazmat CDL and If I remember correctly even with that licence I would not have been allowed to haul ammo. could have hauled dinomite tho. May have changed as I droped the CDL 8 1/1 years ago.

Every time I've bought ammo they ask for my phone number, claim it's to see what state I'm from.

I'm really surprised that there hasn't been a boom in prepaid phone sales in neighboring states.

No problems hauling it with a HM endorsement.
