Can't find any rod bearing's!!!!!!

I have called everyone and everyplace that people told me to call.. Federal Mogul, Kings bearings, Clevite, MF, Hard parts Whse.. They all told me that they can't get Rod bearings For my 1155 V8 perkins anymore Someone has to still make bearings for my baby??? Anyone know were else to look??? Thanks eveyone for all the help..

Automotive Precision Machinery in Georgia, 800-282 9319 Got me some Perkins parts that are no longer avl. They got them from overseas. Give them a call.

Jaybird, sorry I can't help you but I did have the same problem with a Continental gas engine in a 180 Massey. Seems they only made 82 or thereabouts 180 gassers with the Continental engine and the engine was specific to that tractor. The rest of the gassers were Perkins. I finally solved the problem with a junkyard diesel. Jim

Think a friend of mine had one of those 180s in his
barn/shop. They went to rebuild it and found out it
was a gas engine made out of a diesel and there
weren't any parts to be had, this was 30 years ago.

I know that Perkins engines are in forklifts .maby you could
search out a local forklift shop and they could steer you to there
engine rebuilder ???

A good automotive machine shop should be able to reline your old bearing shells. I have had bearings redone with excellent results.

Did you find any bearings and if not what size do you want. I can ask my motor guy up here in Canada, sometimes this odd craps on the shelf. or he knows a man that knows a man. they been doing motor work a lot more than the 40 years I"ve been around. If they can"t find it you got a real problem.

That CB number that oj posted is a Clevite number for the rod bearing. Now a main bearing for a 354 has the same dimensions except it is 0.010 narrower. Got e-mail?

Thanks robert.. I haven't found rod bearings been looking for days.. They are standard size.. Federal Mogul no.. 8-7000RA, Kings bearings CR823am, Clevite CB-1307, Clacier B81005A

Try rf engine in morrice, mi. I've had a few very good
experiences with them and they're good at tracking things
down. Matt or Andy is who I talked to and ask for.
