Working on my 966 lastnight and got to thinking when i first got it few years ago the diff lock pedal leaked oil bad! Dealer told me couldnt get the stem anymore! International parts guy told me he would sell me a used assembly for 650 but it would probly leak to said alot of people just put up with them leaking of elimated them! Well this may help some of you if yours leak oil what i did pretty simple i pulled the pedal assembly out stuck it in a vice tore apart took the stem to a machinest he made me a new stem got a couple new o rings and put it all back together and oil leak was fixed! Cost me like 75 dollars! And its still not leaking like 3 years later!

Wasn't the control valve that always leaked, it was that stupid way they fed the oil into the center of the differential lock. The whole assembly flopped around on the end of the splined shaft so you couldn't keep the seal from leaking.
