Hey guys need a little help: my bobcat got stolen and found when I got it back it has really slow cranking power I changed battery still slow. How they started it was twisted all ignition wires togeather. Maybe mess up ignition?

Also hydraulic problem.

The arm will raise very slow up and down butthe bucket won't function at all.

Sounds like there is a problem with the bucket control valve, as in it's not returning to the center position. Is the bucket tilted all the way in one direction?

That would also explain the slow starter, trying to crank with the hrdraulics loaded.

Yea the bucket teeth are straight down. Where is the valve located on the skid steer is there something I can do to release it ?

Without knowing what all they did with the wiring, and exactly what model machine it is to know what the electrical system looks like, I will hazard one guess as to your problem. It sounds to me like they have somehow turned on the aux flow. With it turned on, and nothing hooked up, the system is building pressure until it goes over the relief. This would cause the slow cranking as it takes quite a few HP to build that much pressure. Too, the aux flow on many machines takes away flow from the main functions, and that would account for the slow movement of the main functions.

BINGO! I would agree that it sounds like the aux. hyd's are locked on. It's really easy to do, especially if the aux's are activated by a foot pedal. I did it one time and couldn't figure out what was wrong, then it dawned on me that I must have stepped on the aux. pedal when I got in or out. The thieves could easily do something like that and have no clue.
