OT- When is spring comning?

When I was stationed at Ft Bragg in the mid 1950's we had a snow storm. I put tire chains on a 1949 Dodge. Cars were sliding all around Bragg Blvd. Some of my Army buddies from GA said they had never seen tire chains. I guess a lot them wish they had them when that ice storm hit Atlanta last month. Hal

Bet you never went down to Hayes street while you were there. I was at Bragg in 68 waiting on deployment to Vietnam.

Our dusting of snow turned in to 4 inches of snow and then sleet and freezing rain. Thank goodness it didn't stick to the power lines. Still falling slowly right now. Suppose to be all rain this afternoon.

Sometimes I wish I had been back at Fort Hood this winter. I was there in 71 and saw snow flurries one time the whole winter.

56F forecast for here tomorrow and everything is budding, looks like an early spring in Northern Ireland, but I am still waiting for winter to arrive!

Around here (s.w.Pa) 1936 and 1978 were tough winters like 2014. They broke on March 17 or 18. I think Mar 17 but I'm so old that I forget!.
