Has your garden reappeared yet, Larry?

Is the snow melting in any areas yet? What about Larry's veggie garden in PA?......We have had a very mild winter in Northern Ireland and now is the time to clear out the garden in preparation for this years crop. Very little left except for some swedes (turnips),carrots, parsnips, leeks and, believe it or not, the brocolli that should have been pulled up and chucked on the compost heap, is sprouting again! Today I pulled some swedes for my old mother to prepare for freezing.....

I also pulled some parsnips, look how dirty they are due to the heavy rain we had last night! The large parsnips are all used up, these are just the right length for getting out of the ground without breaking!!

And these are the very last of the carrots, We have plenty frozen to keep us going until the new crop arrives.

I was just checking the other day, and this time last year I had potatoes planted, Our ground is just too wet this time......Sam

same here,,a foot or more,,,nice crops samn! And thanks for those nice pictures the other day too, those fords sure were nice! Can you e mail me please?

Right now, it's all in the greenhouse for another month or so. But...
I dig up a bucket of carrots every week and juice em. They are sooo sweet in the winter. Keep a concrete blanket over them to prevent freezing.
