cell phone found

Amazing how things sometimes turn up again. My 4yr old was playing in a pile of soybeans and lost my truck keys. Luckily 15 mins with a potato fork strained them out.

Few years later, looking over a bridge at my stream, same keys fell out of my front pocket. Stream was high and muddy so I waited a week till I could see bottom. Found them 20 yards downstream and the keyless entry still worked. Lucky again!

Several years ago, I dropped a cell phone in the pit while dumping a load of corn at the ADM plant. As I watched it drop through the grate, I figured it was gone forever. An ADM worker found the phone, intact, in a screen at the top of the elevator. He went through my contact list and found my wife's work phone number and let her know he had found the phone. Only bad thing was, I had already bought a replacement phone before I got word the old one had been found. Never expected to see that one again.

Once I lost my wallet with ID, CC, and $12 while plowing during FL winter. Looked all summer while cultivating and for another 2 seasons. Was back in same field plowing for spring planting and son found it on top of furrow.

Apparently it got plowed under and then got turned to the top. He got the $12 for helping Dad in the garden that day!

Just recently two Counties away, a guy was shot and dumped into a coal car. Power plant workers later found him on a conveyer on his way to the boiler.

I found a phone on top of an icy hill by my home.

I took it to work and had a knowledgeable co-worker remove the battery open the case and set it next to the boiler to dry out.

At lunch, we powered it up, got he phone list, which included a local school. Called the school, told them what happened.

Turns out that this phone belongs to an autistic(?) kid and it's his only way of communicating with people.

His Dad was plenty happy to get it back. I couldn't read any expression on the kid, but once he was at my house, he grabbed that phone out of my hand. Made me smile.

I was like Tom, I lost mine at the east plant at ADM in Decatur at a bean dump. I got a call with my # but no answer on their end. While unloading the handle hit my phone and knocked it out of my shirt pocket.
