O.T. here's a new one

Here's one I never thought I'd hear. Locally, the snowmobilers are complaining ABOUT TOO MUCH SNOW. It seems that there is so much loose snow out in the fields that it's blowing around with the slightest breeze. That is causing drifts on the trails, and the groomer can't keep up. Several snowmobile have been damaged or totaled, and 1 person injured when they hit a drift across the trail at high speeds.

I live in Ca. and right now in our mountains would like to have a problem like that. What to much snow we do not have enough. I think right now every body is happy because we are geting rain today.

Hey Brent , I know you are in Riverside , how much rain have you got ? I'm west of Diamond Bar , and my rain gauge is only showing 1.5 inches. I hope we get more than this !

have had that problem for years--but more so that in deep fluff the sled floats like a boat and becomes very tipsy--then over you go and get dumped out and the sled stuck!

Oh that is just priceless!. Too much snow on the trails? When I was right into the sport we made our own trails through whatever snow conditions there were. Be it deep powder that we would bury the machines, or hard packed drifts that were too rough to be much fun. There were no groomed trails. It never appealed to me. If I'm going to ride a groomed trail smooth as a super highway I might as well be sitting in comfort in a car or truck.

Lots of snowmobilers aren't happy unless they are bellyacheing about something. Not enough snow, too much snow, too icey, groomers not doing a good job, cops are harassing everybody, you name it,they have a problem with it!In this area the on trail speed limit is I think 55 MPH.Many of the riders are well in excess of that.A group of them will stop then they all give it full throttle on the take off, destroy the trail and cry.
