830 - 3 cylinder rear main seal

Been leaking for some time but starting to get a little worse. Need to split it and replace the seal, probably clutch parts too while I am in there. Question is can I get to the seal after splitting at the engine/clutch? Am I going to have to pull the oil pan?

IIRC rear main seal can be R&R with oil pan in place.

These rear seals usually require a special tool to install them.
Not sure on that model. I'd consult your local dealer service or parts department and see if they can lend or rent you the tool. At the very least if you can get measurements off it they are easy to make.
Dealers used to provide this kind of service in the past but anymore they may not be so friendly.
