I'm sure this has been discussed many times but my 2755 with 22,000 hours on the clock now has diesel in the motor oil. If I recall the cause of this might be a bad injector. Am I correct? What other things should I look for? I'M needeind to do as much as I can myself as the hours don't allow me to sink to much money in her. This is my feed mixing tractor so would like to remedy the situation as quickly as possible.

Seal between engine and injection pump has failed. No biggie. All parts should easily be under $100.Remove pump, renew seals, reinstall.Buy a service manual......

Might be as simple as a transfer pump bad. I think that model still used them on the side of the block.

It could be any of the 3 mentioned below.
If it were me I"d be looking at the injection
pump seal. if you could unbolt the lift pump
& still have it still hooked up to the lines
that might be alittle easier to check

OK. So the tractor was running as good as ever. I will assume that that means is not an injector. That being said is the lift pump & transfer pump the same thing. Is this the "thumb" pump on the side of the block? I got tied up with welding a skidsteer bucket & salesman so am just now getting back to tractor project.
