Well the car appears to be a Model. T The side lamps and the transmission look T. The only thing that looks strange about it, the radiator shell looks a little long. It has the aftermarket running board braces.
It is not a Canadian T as it has the non opening drivers side door. Also looks to have the low, post mid-23 low radiator.

The Steam engine "Might be" a GARR-SCOTT. It
looks, to me, like a GS logo cast into the
front cover.

The car is definitely a Ford Model T. Early 20s, no brass, all tin. The radiator shell looks to be aftermarket, lots of non-ford parts available back then.

Just for grins, I looked it up and August 1 fell on a Wednesday in 1900, 1906, and 1917 around that time frame.

Now that I think about it. The T is probably a 16 or 17. The high radiator came out in 23. The wheels are not the demountable type. The brass radiator was last used in 15 I think. I was mistaken earlier as I had not had my 2 cups of hot tea yet.

Purty sure the engine is a Reeves 32hp cross compound plowing engine, and would have been the next to the biggest Reeves made.
