I'm trying to get a small crawler but like the old international td9 about that size, about like a pickup truck or there about.
I have an opportunity to buy an old ford from the 40's or so but it's just pneumatic tires. I saw a video on you tube where an old guy put tracks on a lawn tractor using trench digger chains , welded up some cogs on his back wheels, used c channels welded to the chains etc. I'm wondering if something like that would work on this old ford as crawlers are hard to find.

Checked it out, it's close to what the guy did but he ran track over the front and back wheels and rigged it up so he could lock the breaks on one side or the other and skid it like a dozer.
This isn't the same video but it looked like this
