Is it true that after the 3 didget series if tractors came out that a special production run of super 88 tractors built and sold at a discount to the 880. Suppose to have been included in the 880 serial numbers.

Never read anything about it in any of the many articles that were written about the Super 88 or 880. Hard to say what they might have done to get rid of extra parts though. It's said that when the 1850 gassers came out that some of the unsold 1800C gassers were brought back in and changed to 1850s.

I think there was an article about a few S88"s that were made after 880"s came out. Didn"t say why, but maybe to get prototype 880s in displays; or to fill orders for S88s. Who knows?
