Massey 65 Starter

Hello. I'm new to the forum so please forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong section.
I am replacing my starter on my MF65 Diesel and I am re-attaching the wires. Do I need to re-polarize the generator after I install the new starter? If so, do I jump the batt terminal with the field terminal or with the gen terminal? I have a 12 volt system. Thanks for any help. I don't want to ruin anything.

You do not need to repolarize for a starter
replacement.Hook up the wires as they were and
go.No worries.

No, you should not need to polarize generator unless you've replaced the regulator or generator.

If you ever do need to polarize it, it's batt to gen.

Thanks. Ok, so now I have a new question... sorry. The solenoid on the new starter is different. Where do I hook up the black neutral safety switch wire on the new solenoid. The new one has a black silicone cap over a two prong quick connect terminal then just below that there is a flat head screw. Do I connect the neutral safety wire to the flat head screw or the two prong connection? Thanks again for any help on this.

What make is the replacement starter? Its a new type to me. Might have to briefly touch each quick connector with a live wire to see which one activates the starter.

Thank you.

Its an "All pro" aftermarket starter. Not the best I'm sure, but the price was right and it looks to be of good quality. I figure I'll use this one until I get around to rebuilding the old one before I restore and paint.

I'll test first, but I assume its the prongs. Thanks for the help.
