man did i get a good deal

i just bought a ford 340B for $1500.00
it runs great, it only has 3 issues: the rad has a leak, the right rear hub leaks and there is a crack in the bucket lift that needs to be welded. i was playing with it today for a little while

Don't know anything about Fords - we have old Farmall, JD and Case tractors...

But sure looks like pretty country there.
 
I'm envious of you. I paid $1500 for a 175 Massey with an industrial loader that needs about $2000 worth of work. Jim
 
Jennifer, I think you were lucky! My dad always said that luck is where opportunity meets preparation. If you did not have the $1500, you would not have been lucky. A good buy!

yes, the first pic is the one that was on CL. i got it from Stanford university. in palo alto, ca.
 
If it's anything like the Ford backhoes, you'll want to put a water pump in it while the radiator is out. You have to get the radiator out of the way on the backhoes.
 
I'm thinking any country not covered with snow is looking pretty good to you midwesterners right about now.

In other news, the "polar vortex" is supposed to return this weekend.

Oh, and nice buy on the Ford, Jennifer.
