I'm glade the snow slid off at least. I Haven't had this much snow since I put the metal roof on the barn, now I gotta clean out to the doors.

I learned my lesson about snow sliding off a roof after I put the new steel roof on the barn. My barn has low sidewalls with a 27 foot long slope on the roof. The first winter after I put the new steel on I came out a door that was under the south eve, and slammed the door because it didn't latch well. When I slammed it I heard a hiss and paused to try to figure out where the hiss was coming from. The hiss was snow sliding down from up near the peak of the roof and by the time it came down on me it was really moving. The hogs learned about it too and when they heard that hiss they made a bee line for the door to get inside before the avalanche hit the ground. Jim
