Just read where a little girl was abducted and murdered and the neighbors called in the license plate of the truck that the abductor was driving approximately 30 seconds after he picked her up. The cops took 3 1/2 hours to find him and he had already been to his house, done the deed and went out after more bleach to clean up with, what a bunch of incompetent morons, stories like this are why I have less than zero faith in any branch or service of government, absolutely pathetic. Poor little angel playing in her own yard.

I live in Springfield and my wife works with some of the girls family and some of the perps family.It is awful. Everyone I talk to is broken hearted over it. Bless her heart.

it is sad what our nation is or already has turned into, no decency, no respect for life. Praying for girls family to cope with this. Saw other day where a convicted murderer had won some case to prevent a certain type of lethal injection because he was worried it could be painful and cruel, world is upside down

It breaks my heart too. Her parents will never hold her in their arms again. Only those who have lost a child truly know what the parents are feeling right now. The death sentence won't bring her back to life nor will it deter a person with a mind set like his. The death sentence does insure that he will never do it again and we taxpayers won't have to house and feed him for the rest of his life. Jim

I think death would be way to easy on him, but because we live in a civilized world stocks, public persecution and the like are out of the question. How civilized is our world when these kinds of acts are committed?

OK you are the Police. You have the plate number in 30 seconds. In one minute you have the owners name and address. In 4 minutes you are at his house. In 5 minutes you know the son has the truck. In 8 minutes you are at HIS house.

The prosecutor just said that he did not know yet if he was going to pursue the death penalty. This is a no brainer. Yet our state is now debating how the death penalty should be done. People, smart people who are elected to represent us, what difference does it make???????? I just shake my head in disbelief. Hang em from a rope, this man does not deserve to breathe another breath. It appears that there is no doubt in anybody's mind that he is guilty. Speedy trial, jury convicts him, judge sentences him, take him to the gallows.

I have noticed that police will respond to the place where the call originates from, regardless of what you tell them about speed and direction of travel. Maybe it is a procedure that they are required to follow.

And at the exact same time, a bunch of bleeding heart liberals are trying to keep a child rapist in Mo. from being executed next Wed. They claim the drugs are not approved or tested and that the poor murdering rapist might suffer from "cruel and unusual punishment".

Two of these scum bags kidnapped a 15 year old girl in 1984, raped, tortured, and killed her. They didn't get caught till 1991, and admitted they did it. Now their scum bag attys are trying to keep them from being legally executed.

Well, It aint gonna work. We have enough drugs on hand to kill this scum, and the governor is gonna hang tough.

I am in favor of the firing squad. At least that is instantaneous and they can't claim the poor schmuch "suffered"

Its not civilized, you hope for the best by the justice system, however it never seems to deter predation, or the kinds of things these people do to others. Its not about the damage you can do that compares, its about the good you can do to deter those that do these things, and trust me there's a lot more that can be said about that.

Sadly, this is not the place to divulge ones thoughts on situations like this.
