I have a chance to buy a fatally m and h. The m is completly restored with new tires and paint. The h is restored with new tires but needs to be painted. How much is the pair worth?

What are the tires like? Fenders? Weights? Wide front, narrow front or single front? What kind if any hydraulics, Lights work? Generator or Alternator? PTO shields? Distillate or gas? If distillate are all the shields and the extra tank in place and in good order? Hows the manifolds? any extras like live power kit or a 9 speed gearbox? Where are they?

if there are new tires on both tractors, theres close to 3 grand in rubber. engine rebuilds, figure 1500 each. clutch 250. if they were good rebuilds, he probably threw close to 4500 at the m. the h without paint, 2500 or so.

To all that answered the question vith your version of vhat is it worth.

How do you come to the conclusion on vhat its worth?

Any higher than that he would need one of two things: His desire for a M being great enough to go to 2000, or they both have new rubber and brand new engine internals (with receipts) Jim

well if the tires are new on both tractors there worth a good $1000 a pair , here in Pa the M ( with out picture to judge ) would sell for $2000 min, to $3500 , the H just because there less desirable $2000 w/ new tires if you lucky , an H is a great tractor but there so common collectors nor farmers are looking for them , to big for the average garage to small for the farmers , this is just my input as a farmer & a collector , seen alot of them sell at autions though that they gave away

If the m has power steering, that makes it worth a little more, they usually ask about $500 more around here if they have power steering.

You might remember I bought a healthy H on a consignment auction a couple of weeks ago for $450.

But, it was only a few degrees above zero with a 20 mph north wind, and it was one of the last few items on the auction. Half the crowd had already left and most of the rest was at the clerks shack paying up and getting ready to leave.
