Where to see old iron in NYC?

Coming to NYC on business trip. I doubt this FL fat boy will see any old iron downtown.

That said what would you recommend for out of town visitor? Will be there for 5 days / month beginning March 17 thru end of August.

Shep, The NJ state fair runs Aug.1-10 and is located near Branchville, N. J. which is about 50-55 miles from nyc. Our antique engine club has plenty of hit and miss engines running, tractors and much more on display. Would be worth the trip, Chuck

The Brooklyn bridge has a lot of iron in it.

A lot of old iron at the intrepid air and sea museum. Aircraft carrier, submarine and spaceship. I think a concord is there also.

Walking in Manhatten one night, saw an old steam engine in the basement. Light was on to show it belted to a dynamo. My notes say:

3rd Ave & east 13th 1/2 block east on the north side

I am not 100% sure of the directions, but if you are walking about..

My boy goes to NYU medical school and we try to visit once a year.
