Speaking of California

Perhaps should be in tool talk. Anyway last week the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in Pertav V County of San Diego gutted the concealed carry permit laws and now California is a "shall issue" sate. I applied for my permit last friday, I just wrote NA in the part where they asked for 3 letters of reference and when asked why I needed it I wrote to exercise my 2nd ammendment rights. Today the Chief of Police called me and asked me to wait and see if San Diego county files a appeal and gets a stay. I told him, that if conditions stay the same, he has 90 days to issue the permit or I will sue him.

Scott,

Please hold your elected/hired enforcement to task.

I appreciate all that continue to encourage our rights as spelled in the Constitution.

I was really taken aback when I read the original constitution engraved in stone in Raleigh NC. It is brief, and well written.

Why does the government fear guns in the hand of law abiding citizens? Police very seldom stop crime they just take the report. Why do the police not arrest known gang members and drug dealers? Anybody want to guess

"Speaking of California"

California is a good place to be . . . .F R O M !

I saw "the handwriting on the wall" way back in 1977 and got out while the getting was good. Don't ever want to go back & I was born there.

Doc :>)

Funny you bring up the Queen. A couple of years back at a "Town Hall" I told her I thought she is to ugly, to old and to mean to be a US Senator. Yep, security showed me to the front door. Perhaps I should be more conerned with the 1st ammendment.

Yeah, Doc. When I was working in Vegas, I met a lot of EX California guys. All of them sick of the taxes and bureaucracy and traffic in Calif.

Yes, the constitution is very brief, and because of that we have had 27 amendments added. The vagaries and interpretations of the constitution have provided employment for thousands of lawyers, professors, judges, politicians and talk show mouthpieces for over 200 years.

I doubt that will happen untill the Feds declair that is the law of the nation. CA respects your AZ drivers Lic and it should your AZ CCW. I would add this. I live in two states. California and North Dakota. It seems to me that almost everythign is against the law in California and almost nothing is against the law in North Dakota. Still, I don't know anyone in trouble in CA and 1/2 the guys I know in ND are wearing ankle braclets. Honestly I prefer living under the CA model. Not that I would ever suggest a unlawful act. But, come out on your trip, do what you think is necessary to protect yourself. Do not, under any circumstances draw attention to your self. Have your AZ CCW, you can always tell the jury you though it, like your drivers lic was valid (plausable deniability). Hay it is something. And, unlike Florida, people in California rather like it when bad guys get shot.
While on the Pacific Cost Highway, or California 1 as we call it in northern California (northern and southern CA are really different places)Visit the Hurst Castle and the Weatherby factory in Paso Robels.
