Trailer Needed

We need to find a 16 foot dovetail trailer, 83 wide, tandem,
to haul our tractor. At least 7000 GVW. Like to find
one in Colorado or Kansas. Ours was stolen a couple
of months ago, and no trace of it yet. A good used
one would be good, as we haul for short distances,
occasionally, and would like to not spend the price
of a new one. Any one know of a dealer who might
have some? Thanks!
 
To bad you are not in FLA. I am selling mine (no dovetail) as I just upgraded. Here it is hauling my rat rod home (PITA project).
 
A few years ago I found that buying a new trailer wasn"t that much more than buying a used one that need new rubber, fix brakes, wire lights and paint.

Shop around.
 
Dang nammit ennaways!!!! i'm going to be putting together an aluminum trailer in a week or so when it warms up some. To bad it will be in Mn. and not real cheap. If you decide to go new and would consider aluminum let me know I could maybe make one for you how ever you want it. Haven't decided for sure what the one I'm building will be yet but it will be 7,000 lb and have 2 torflex axles with electric brakes. If anyone else is looking let me know, I can make changes to my plan if you let me know before I start.
 
I have bought trailers from "Trailer Source" in Wheat Ridge, CO (Denver) There is one setting down in town Salida, CO. I will drive by tomorrow and see if I can get some info. for you.
 
You'll probably have to go to a deck over style trailer to get the 83" width. Most car trailers max out at 81" between the fenders.
Good luck on finding a used trailer. It's common to spend more than the cost of a new trailer by the time you replace the tires, fix the brakes, and get all the lights working.
New or used, I highly recommend Behnke trailers. Google Behnke Enterprises.

and get tired of overpriced junk or good trailers for $50 less than new...
I just buy a new one.
Resale value on trailers is very good here..
hence why I am always looking!
Not using one for a few months, I get offers I can't refuse.
Then of course, I end up needing another..
 
circle d trailers in hillsboro ,Ks. Nice trailers at a decent price. There is also a Jost trailer in Hillsboro that sell new & used trailers. Good boy's to deal with.
 
Thanks for your responses. I will check out these dealers. Hope to find one soon. I forgot to mention, this traileer was stolen from Littleton, CO.
Also, I shold have said the trailer needed should be 81 inches between fenders.
 
If you only need 81 inches then you can go between the fenders if you stay with narrow tires. If you don't find what you want let me know. Here is a pic of a couple I did a few years ago and what the one I'm going to build will be similar to. I'm thinking it will be around $3000.00 +/- depending on ramps and such. And again I can customize it for you to suit your needs. I need to go out that way and we could maybe come to terms on a price delivered.
