modified a bale spear today

Here is pics of a bale spear I lengthened the vertical upright tubing 10 inches this thing was to short the higher you picked it up the spear would actually start pointing toward the ground instead of the sky like most of them do.it is a hawk line brand don't know why they built it this way but it sure did not work worth a hoot we tried it on four different tracktors with no results .oh well works good now

It will do that if the height spacing from the bottom pins to the top link isn't the same as the tractor. I made forks and by changing to a different top hole and adjusting the top link I could make the forks tilt upward as I raised them.
