more rising prices

Just saw on MSN that natural gas prices are jumping, due to cold weather. Has anyone out there noticed this? Is it a temporary thing, price gouging, or inflation setting in?

Supplies should be a little shorter after the gas line explosion near Knifley Ky last night. One of our previous neighbors lives very close to site.

It says this picture of the explosion was taken from 20 miles away, made a 60 foot crater.

Expect natural gas prices to rise significantly in the future as The libs force coal fired generation plants to close while preventing the construction of new nuclear plants, leaving natural gas as the only viable alternative.

This will overwhelm the increased production resulting from fracking eventually causing prices to skyrocket.

Stay tuned.

Yet another excuse to raise the price of nitrogen fertilizer. Just what we didn't need in the farming business.

We use natural gas for our stove, water heater and a fire place. The price climbs every winter about this time and generally drops a bit in the spring/summer. We have found that the NG price generally follows the trend in other energy sources. If they go up, NG goes up and conversely when the price of other energy sources goes down. The relative price in comparison to other energy sources seems to stay about the same. As a previous poster said, the current war on coal may affect NG prices some in the future.
