Propane prices, what are you paying in your town?

I'm in Central Virginia.

December I was paying $2.89 per gallon

January I had a fill-up at $3.99 a gallon

I stopped by to pay a bill today and it is up to $4.19 a gallon.

I am at the point where I'm thinking I may not be able to afford another fill-up. This is unreal. I hope I can get another 125 gallon tank this summer.

Early fall was $1.30 ish, mid Dec was $1.65, 3 weeks ago was $5 something. Just had the tank filled today at $2.75. Surely will go down another dollar or so now that I've spent that $1,200.

Paid $2.86 this week in MN (they'd quoted $2.88 when I ordered, but for some reason charged 2 cents less when delivered).

We were actually pleased, because we have been hearing prices near $4.50 - $5.00 too.

Mine went up to $4.15 when I got some in Dec. I had gotten an offer of around $3.15 from another company that supplies the town because of being a volunteer for the town. I talked to the company that I have had for many years and they offered to drop me to $3.10 if I signed a contract. You ought to look at supplementing with a non-vented catalytic propane unit. I have had one heating my shop for about 9 years. A buddy has one in the family room of his camp. They can deplete oxygen if your house is REALLY tight, I have a CO detector about four feet from mine. Another advantage is that they give off water vapor so you don't need to run your humidifier so high.

Summer fill was $1.29, Dec 27 was $1.99. Two weeks ago was $4.70. I heard it's come down a little and supplies are easing, for a while you could only get 100 gallons. Been burning wood so won't need any until summer.

My lp guy was just here today. Luckily, i'm contracted for 1.69. I asked what the price off the truck today was and he said $3.49

I'm currently stuck with the dreaded Ferrellgas, since I don't own my own tank. Got some gas yesterday, at $3.41 a gallon. Last week's local paper had a case in it where Ferrell had charged someone $4.56 a gallon

I do not have propane anymore since I bought my heat pump.

Guy at the corner store that fills small R/V bottles said it has gone up about $1 a gallon in the past three months.
Current price is $4.00 a gallon. So he is probably paying in the $3 to $3.50 range.
Supply is not and has never been a issue. He said he can get as much as he wants but then again the refinery where the tankers load is only about 50 miles away.

Don t run out! there will be a leak test for around 100.00 plus the LP. Your government at work.
