OT - Need a new home page

For many years, I had used Yahoo for my home page. It was convenient, concise, and had just the information that I wanted right at my fingertips. Weather, news headlines, and a report on my meager stock portfolio.
As of January 31, all users were forced to go to the "New" My Yahoo page. It is totally changed, and not for the better!
First, much of the same information is there, BUT it is arranged poorly. Type point sizes are way too big for my screen. News items are "boxed" in space wasting boxes with heavy, useless borders. There is now said to be a continuous news feed in the top center of the page with a revolving advertisement window in a prominent spot at the right top of the page. The weather display seems to have a mind of its own and as often as not is showing me the weather some 3000 miles away.
Overall, it is cumbersome, unattractive, and takes twice as long to load as the "old" Yahoo. Change apparently only for the sake of change.
I went to leave some feedback about my displeasure, and find that several thousand people have been there before me, and the response is overwhelmingly negative. Feedback seems to fall on deaf ears.
Time for a new home page.

i feel the same way about google, i have using it for years now it is google chrome they want us to use. i am resisting but may have to give in. also i am perfectly happy with winddows xp, but it is about gone and will have to go with flow or whatever

I use MSN and have not had any problems. It displays some of the top news stories and you can set the weather to your location. Seems easy to use also. Scott

I think the reason they are changing the home page looks is so people can use them better on the "portable" electronics smart phone stuff. Evidently more people are connecting that way so it works better for them. Us old timer home computer type fellows are just stuck with the old ways. Damn smart phones have doomed us dinosaurs.

Well..... I like to look at the weather and news in the morning when I get up and have my "tea and crumpets" first thing.
Yahoo was convenient, and had just about what I wanted right at my fingertips. Also made a nice starting point for the day.

I think there may be a misunderstanding between web browser and home page. My web browse is fire fox which allows me to select what ever websites come up when I turn on the computer and click on firefox,my homepage which I selected pops up. my homepage consists of 4 websites,Noaaweather,Hotmail, a daily cartoon and YT. I tried Yahoo and Chrome didn't like it.

Scott, I also use MSN on my laptop. But I use Agriculture on my desktop.
I am use to it and it works good for me. Every one has A choice to use what he likes.

Take a look at "Daily BIkini " There are a hundred sites you can go to from there. Also "Daily Pets " and others.....

NBC News introduced today their new look. Extremely bad, lots of pictures with very little news, can't understand why they think it is so great. I have Firefox open with our local radio station's local news page (WSCH), it is easy to read and has news that is relevant to me.
