Deutz D6206 12 or 24 volt?

I just got a Deutz D6206. I need to put a battery
in it as it doesn't have one. I am getting
conflicting information about whether it's 12 or 24
volt.
Does anyone know which it is or how I can check?

Should be a 12 volt system.

I have worked on a pile of Deutz tractors over the years. Never saw anything but 12 volt systems.

Thanks for the replies. I thought it would be 12 volt but a friend told me that that engine was used on some other equipment and set up for 24 volt. 12 volt saves me some money because I have an extra battery in the shop.

There should be a tag on something... Like the alternator/gen, starter, instrument, light bulb number.
